1 Very Important Step in Achieving What You Want

by Michelle on March 18, 2013

Wanting something is important; but it is not enough.

Have you ever believed in something that seemed impossible, and yet, you achieved it?

Have you ever had a shadow of doubt yet it came to fruition?

Have you ever seen something that was beyond your imagination?

Have you ever had a pleasant surprise?

Have you ever witnessed a miracle?

The seemingly impossible is made possible on a daily basis.

As John Acuff says, you have to be wildly realistic about today but wildly unrealistic about the future.  How do you do it?

You have to be COMMITTED.

You have to be committed to doing whatever it takes.

You have to be committed to the activities to make it happen.

You have to be committed to work through the road blocks.

You have to be committed to put your blinders on and speed ahead.

You have to be committed to finding the positive.

You have to be committed to believing in yourself and the outcome.

You have to be committed to patience.

You have to be committed to holding on when it seems so much easier to let it go.

You have to be committed to learning about the options for achieving what you want.

If you want it badly enough, you will commit to it.

You don’t want to fail?  Then don’t.  I believe the quickest, most easiest way to “fail” is to give up.

Dream. Believe. Do. Commit.

“Listen to the mustn’ts, child. Listen to the don’ts. Listen to the shouldn’ts, the impossibles, the won’ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me… Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.”  ~Shel Silverstein

“Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal – a commitment to excellence – that will enable you to attain the success you seek.”  ~Mario Andretti

“There’s no scarcity of opportunity to make a living at what you love. There is only a scarcity of resolve to make it happen.”  ~Wayne W. Dyer
